Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and look after your personal information, including anything you tell us about your skin.
Last updated: 17 August 2026
1. Who we are
Faye K Face Skin Clinic (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Faye Knox is responsible for data protection and is the person who will normally handle your enquiry.
- Registered office
- 40 Clarence Road, Chesterfield, England, S40 1LQ
- faye@fayekface.com
2. The information we collect
Information you give us
When you send an enquiry through this website, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Which service or programme you're interested in
- Anything you write in the message box, which may include information about your skin, your health, or treatments you've had
If you go on to book a consultation or join a programme, we'll collect more detail as part of that process, including your consultation notes and treatment history.
Information collected automatically
Our website host records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and which pages you looked at. This is used to keep the site running and secure, not to identify you.
We do not run analytics, advertising trackers or marketing pixels on this website.
3. Information about your skin and health
UK data protection law treats information about your health, and that includes your skin, as “special category” information. It needs more protection than an ordinary name and email address, and we treat it that way.
Where you tell us about your skin, your hormones, medication you've taken or anything else health-related, we use it only to answer your enquiry and to advise you properly. We rely on your explicit consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on our enquiry form. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us, and we'll delete what we hold unless we're legally required to keep it.
Please don't send us more health detail than you need to at the enquiry stage. There'll be a proper, secure point to go into depth once we're working together.
4. Why we use your information, and our lawful basis
| What we do with it | Our lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Replying to your enquiry | Our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract |
| Using details about your skin or health to advise you | Your explicit consent |
| Delivering consultations, programmes and treatments you've booked | Performance of our contract with you |
| Taking payment and keeping accounting records | Performance of our contract, and our legal obligations |
| Keeping the website secure and working | Our legitimate interests in protecting our business and visitors |
| Sending you marketing emails, if you've asked for them | Your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time |
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we never will.
We use a small number of trusted service providers who process information on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions:
- Netlify: hosts this website and receives enquiry form submissions
- GoHighLevel: our booking system, client records and payment links
- Google: provides the typefaces used on this site and the map on our contact page
- Our email provider: so we can reply to you
Card payments are handled entirely by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
We may also share information where we're legally required to, for example with HMRC, our insurers, or if we're obliged to by law.
6. Links to other websites
Some buttons on this site take you elsewhere: our booking and payment pages, and our Instagram and TikTok profiles. Once you're on someone else's website, their privacy policy applies rather than ours.
7. Sending information outside the UK
Some of the providers listed above are based outside the UK, mainly in the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, we make sure it's protected either by UK adequacy regulations, or by standard contractual clauses approved for use in the UK. You can ask us for more detail on this at any time.
8. Cookies
This website does not set any cookies of its own, and there is no tracking or advertising technology on it.
Two third-party elements may set cookies or receive your IP address when a page loads:
- The Google Map embedded on our contact page
- Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces used across the site
If you'd rather avoid these, most browsers let you block third-party content, and the site will still work.
9. How long we keep your information
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Enquiries that don't become bookings | 24 months, then deleted |
| Client records, consultation notes and treatment history | 8 years after your last appointment |
| Accounting and payment records | 6 years, as required by HMRC |
| Marketing preferences | Until you unsubscribe |
When information is no longer needed, we delete it securely.
10. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Have inaccurate information corrected
- Ask us to delete your information
- Ask us to restrict how we use it
- Object to us using it, including for marketing
- Ask us to transfer it to another provider
- Withdraw your consent at any time, where we relied on consent
To exercise any of these, email faye@fayekface.com. It's free, and we'll respond within one month.
11. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. We'd genuinely like the chance to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a new “last updated” date at the top.
