Exceed Microneedling

The Worlds 1st and only Double FDA Cleared device for Acne Scars and Facial Wrinkles.

WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that’s used to treat skin concerns by stimulating collagen production. Also known as collagen induction therapy, this treatment creates micro-punctures in the skin using miniature, sterilized needles. The skin’s natural wound healing response following microneedling can help to reduce the appearance of scars, fine lines, pigmentation and dark spots as well as improve skin elasticity.

WHAT CONCERNS CAN MICRONEEDLING HELP WITH?

  • Acne scarring

  • Pigmentation

  • Age spots

  • Sun damage

  • Fine lines & wrinkles

  • Enlarged pores

  • Surgical scars

  • Cellulite

  • Overall skin texture

The Exceed Microneedling device has adjustable needle depth, making it suitable for other body parts aswell as the face such as thighs, abdomen, chest and back.

WILL IT HURT?

Due to microneedles penetrating the skin, you may feel a level of discomfort however numbing cream is applied prior and the procedure takes no longer than 20 minutes. The needle plate on the Exceed Pen moves to the structure of the skin to especially increase client comfort. Skin can feel warm following the treatment so a cooling & hydrating sheet mask will be applied for 10 minutes after the procedure to calm and cool the skin.

WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO SEE RESULTS?

Your skin will feel plump with a radiant glow immediately following the treatment. However, the skin's natural wound-healing response takes time in order for collagen to fully reform. Noticeable improvements can take a few weeks and may require at least three treatments depending on each client's concern and severity. This will be discussed during your consultation.

WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME?

Following your treatment, skin may appear red similar to sunburn and may feel tight and swollen which can last between 24 to 48 hours. It is not uncommon for skin to feel dry and to flake after a few days. During the first days after the treatment, the skin is sensitive to external influences such as sun-light, please apply SPF daily. Avoid prolonged, direct sunlight. If you so happen to be in the sun, use sunscreen every 2 hours.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY TREATMENT?

It is important that you prepare for your treatment correctly prior to your appointment. Failure to do so may result in your appointment being moved and the loss of your deposit.

  • Avoid the use of topical agents that may increase the sensitivity of your skin such as retinoids, chemical & physical exfoliants, topical antibiotics or acids 7 days prior to your treatment.

  • Avoid taking anti-inflammatory medications for at least 3 days prior to your microneedling session. These will interfere with the natural inflammatory process that is critical for your skin rejuvenation.

  • Do not shave on the day of the procedure to avoid skin irritation. If there’s dense hair present in the treatment area, shave the day before you arrive for your appointment.

  • Avoid IPL/Laser procedures, unprotected sun exposure or sunburn for at least 2 weeks prior to your procedure.

  • No botox for 2 weeks and dermal fillers or other facial injectables for at least 4 weeks prior to your appointment.
